Learning about technologies. (Kahoot Edition)

Image
Hello Every one, For this week we were asked to talk about a technology that can help peoples learning. I thought I'd take the opportunity to talk about Kahoot. This is a online resource that can be used to help student learn and increase their knowledge in a particular topic through fun interactive games. Kahoot is a free to sign up for with different perks set at different price points. You can sign up as an educator, student, department, and even a whole company to create different type of things to help people learn and increase the understanding of a desired topic. As I have been researching this I have come to realize that I am going to use this in my classroom for adult learners to understand more about Occupational therapy. As I have been playing around with all of the unique and fun games. I have thought, this would be a great way to create study guide for students who are preparing for exams or quizzes. Everybody studies differently and this site can target different le

https://openphoto.net/gallery/image/view/25066 Hello, This week we are learning all about Copyright and fair use. One of the tasks that I needed to do to is to add some pictures to the blog this week. Now I have seen other's with some pretty amazing picture and/or gifs. Now I am not that talented, but I am going to practice and get better. I plan on using more pictures in my blogs to liven up the post.  Some may ask, "Kaden is this picture a Copy right infringement?" This is not a copy right infringement. I have found this particular picture from a copy right free website. Did you know that was a thing?! I didn't either! So for this blog I am going to reflect on what I learned from this weeks lessons. To start it is interesting on how many people actually have copy right issues and just don't realize they have made the mistake. I agree with what Dr. Lindbeck said in her lecture, "Most people are not doing it on purpose, they just don't have the informat

New Ideas and more questions.

Hello again,  I have been spending this week diving into some other blogs and websites that focus into different technologies used in teaching. Where I currently teach adults in a health care environment I have focused on technology that would boost some of my understanding of technology that is out there to help adult learning and their success within the classroom. The world is changing at a very rapid pace and we as a society is going more towards advanced technology in and outside the classrooms. In my searching I found an interesting article that discussed cased based learning (CBL), problem based learning (PBL), and scenario based learning (SBL). I found this article interesting because I believe our program has used all of these learning pedagogy. We have brought in the use of case studies to increase the learning of diagnosis, symptoms, and the etiology of illnesses/injuries. They look at these case studies and provide some guidance on how to get a person back to participating
